damage_function() creates a damage function for a model with a given set of parameters

Usage

damage_function(
  model,
  flood_duration,
  height_max = 2,
  plateau = 0.5,
  symmetry = 0.5,
  exposition = "all",
  opening_scenario = "close",
  clearance_under = 0.5,
  clearance_side = 0.5,
  height_break = Inf,
  dt_max = 0.5,
  Cd = 0.42,
  power = 0.5
)

Arguments

model

an object of class model

flood_duration

numeric; duration of the simulation in seconds

height_max

numeric, optional; maximum water height in meters

plateau

numeric, optional; proportion of the event spent at maximum height, between 0 and 1

symmetry

numeric, optional; position of the plateau within the event, between 0 and 1. A value of 0.5 gives a symmetric event.

exposition

character or list; exposure of the external walls, or "all" for all external walls

opening_scenario

character, optional; one of the following options: "open", "close", "combine". See details. Default to "close"

clearance_under

numeric, clearance below the opening frame in centimeters. Defaults to 0.5.

clearance_side

numeric, clearance beside the opening frame in centimeters. Defaults to 0.5.

height_break

numeric, the differential height on each side of an opening needed to break it

dt_max

numeric, optional; maxmimum timestep for simulation

Cd

numeric, optional; discharge coefficient for each opening, default to getOption("floodam_building_hydraulic_discharge_coefficient")

power

numeric, optional; the proportion of cores to use for parallel

Value

multiple hydraulic objects
